Your Questions About Internet Marketing Degree

Mary asks…
What’s the best school for Internet Marketing?
I’m looking into Fullsail and University of San Fransisco online courses for Internet Marketing. I wanted to know if anyone has attended these or other schools like them and what their results were?
Cheers!

Jere answers:
I’ve never heard of anyone going to Fullsail other than for entertainment industry technical classes; certainly it isn’t known for marketing. The advantage to USF is that, unless these are courses taught through their Extension program (in which case I would not really advise either school). Their courses will be transferable, should you ever choose to apply them toward an actual degree.

How to Design An Affiliate Marketing Website To Make Money Online?
I am a newbie in field of internet marketing. What aspects should I take in account while designing a website.

Jere answers:
The first thing you want to do is go to *1*. Once you’ve signed up there and are in the members area, you’re going to scroll down to where it says “New JV Product Launch Announcements” Jv stands for Joint Venture. Find a product that’s at least one month away from release (even further if you can). So if today is 9/13/2012 then look for something that will come out 10/13/2012… Why? Because there’s no competition, it gives you ample opportunity to make a site early, which kind of grand father’s you in with website authority and most importantly create a youtube video with a review of the product.
Of course you won’t have the product so make a list of assumptions to the best of your degree. There will be product details on the actual page so you should get a really good idea on what the product is and what and how it does. In the video that you make, list the benefits of using it and let know to buy it below… Next go to a website called *2* and also *3* and sign up, clicksure (new but popular with JV’s) and clickbank (especially clickbank) are some of the top affiliate sites around.

James asks…
Does anyone know of anything I can sell independently for extra cash?
I am a recent college graduate with a Business Marketing degree. I just got my first full time job in bank management. My job is great; it just doesn’t pay very well. I am looking for something I can sell independently to make a little extra cash each month. I am looking to sell something on the lines of health products/energy products. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks!

Jere answers:
Check out the two library books by Robert G Allen, “Multiple Streams of Income” and “Multiple Streams of Internet Income” which will motivate you to find passive sources of income that won’t interfere with your day job. It will offer various ways to supplement your income with legitimate money making opportunities. I am not talking about 60 cent at a time survey rewards. You’ve got the marketing degree enough to know how to present yourself and your products… Get to your county offices and get a business license. It’s not going to be easy and you’re not going to make a million bucks but why not keep 100% percent of the profits from your endeavors after taxes???

Thomas asks…
What salary should I ask for my next job?
Hi,
I am looking for a new job.
I have a master’s degree in Business (6years of college studies) and 2 years of work experience doing internet marketing.
I am looking for a new position (in search engine optimization which is internet marketing). I live in Los Angeles, CA. How much should I be asking for based on these factors. I typically ask for 45 000/year, but I’m wondering if that’s too little or too much.
Thanks

Jere answers:
A master’s degree in business as in an MBA? If that’s the case and you want to go into digital marketing, 45K is way too low. Many people receive their bachelor’s degree and start their first jobs in marketing making between 50K-80K annually. The fact that you have a master’s and a couple years of work experience should net you between $70K-$100K easily. You might be negotiating wrongly or not communicating your value to the company in the best way possible. 45K is unacceptable for most people who have been out of undergrad for at least a year.

Donna asks…
What types of businesses can I start up with a Marketing degree?
I am currently majoring in marketing. I inherited a lot of cash and I am investing it so when I am ready to establish my own business, I have a good capital. I was thinking of opening up an advertising agency because they make good revenue also with market research skills would it be beneficial in picking out stocks because with the market research I am more likely to know what type of companies will make money.
