Your Questions About Business Online Degree Programs

Betty asks…

How can I find all college and universities that have online business programs?

I do NOT want a correspondence school. I’m looking for accredited college and universities that have 100% online business programs. I don’t care where they are (as long as they are within the US) and it doesn’t matter if they are 2 or 4 your colleges. I plan to earn a bachelors degree, but I don’t mind starting with an associates first.

Jere answers:

There are tons of traditional schools, colleges, and universities offering full programs online. Check out your state colleges to see what they have. This site has a listing of schools offering online degrees by state. Http://www.distancelearningalliance.com

George asks…

Online degree programs at NY state universities?

Are there any NY universities that offer degree programs online? I am having a hard time finding any. I only found one and they only offered Business.

Jere answers:

CanProf gave you my favorite link- the one to the SUNY Online Learning Network. You can see all the online degrees given by the SUNYs. Keep in mind that Empire State is their adult ed/distance learning college, and if you’d rather stick with a college that isn’t famous for being online or adult ed, go with the few others on that list.

Other colleges in NY that I know offer online degrees include CUNY, NYIT, Excelsior College, St. Joseph’s College, Mercy College, NYU, Polytechnic University, Monroe College, Pace University, Ithaca College, and there could be others as well.

Sandy asks…

Scholarships for online degree programs (Looking for Sponsor)?

Is there any scholarships for online degree program? I am physically handicapped (lame), 43, male, (Philippines) and I want to study online degree in Business Management. Is there any good samaritan out there who can help me?

Jere answers:

Try your local church maybe there are some parishioners that can help you. If not look for some federal grants of your country, I am sure that they exist. Also try to look on line or get student loans.

Thomas asks…

What do you think of online degree programs?

I am looking to do my MBA and have been thinking of just going back to the same business school I did my BA in. I went to the University of Buffalo and it ranks in the top 50business schools in the US by Forbes. Should I do that instead of an online degree?

If you have an MBA how did you do it? Where did you go? and did it help you in career advancement?

I had a BA in Business concentrating in MIS and currently work in IT as an applications support analyst/help desk.

Jere answers:

Some programs are absolutely outstanding. Others are the bottom of the pile. There are places like Duke U. Doing their MBA online and that MBA has much more value than one from say, Eastern Yourstate State College in the classroom.

The thing is, online at a quality school is really hard. There’s a lot of writing to do and you don’t get the 1:1 time with the instructor. You have to be a top-notch manager of time to do well in these programs.

The best advice, attend the best school you can get into (online or classroom) and do the best quality work you are able while there.

Charles asks…

What online business school is affordable and reputable?

I need an online degree program that can give me a bachelors in business with focus on accounting.

Jere answers:

Your required degree is being offered by quite a few online colleges and universities. Some of them are Kaplan University, Colorado Technical University Online, Post University, American Intercontinental University Online etc. All of these along with numerous other accredited online institutions and their reviews can be found at http://www.onlineedublog.com/
Go through the reviews and then decide where you want to study. You can even request more information and apply online at the site 🙂

Hope it helps!
