Do I need a business license to sell my game online?
I am in the process of making a video game. When I finish it, it will be available for download on my website. The buyer will have to use a credit or debit card in order to purchase the game through my order processor (plimus). And I live in kentucky. So, do I need a business license to do all of this? If so, what kind of business license do I need? Most importantly, where do I get it?

Come on you made the game who said you need license to sell it. You made it you earn it and must earn what it worth’s. You have your own website put on it and put the right price of it what you think is right and i bet if people like it they will buy it and no one will stop you from selling it nor stop them from buying it.

Can soemone provide me with an online Business simulation Game?
I want to become more efficient when It comes to managing a business, as it’s something I want to look into.
I found a business simulator a while back, it was very basic from the homepage, but once I’d registered and logged in, I was thrown into a very deep, complex world of Business. It was basically just like running a business in real life, but of course, losses, earnings and currency were all completely digitial with no real life value.
It was all text based and made up of a simple white layout.
I’m not saying I’d like this one specifically, suggest the best you know, but I want it as realistic as it possibly can be, no ‘lemonade stands’ or ‘Zoo/hospital Tycoons’ please, they’re fun, but not very… educational?

If you would like a realistic online business simulation I’d recommend you check out www.business-smart.com
Their simulations are not ‘gamesy’ like the tycoon games they are much more business like and are used in educational training such as universities and business training.

When naming your business don’t overlook the legal requirements. Ie you can’t use offensive words or words such as royal. Plus if you operate as a sole trader and your business name is not your own name (ie, if it’s not Joe Bloggs web design) then you have to make sure that your own name is on any letter headed paper, invoices etc.

There are a ton of “Tycoon” games. It really depends on what industry you are looking at. There is Monopoly Tycoon which is a sort of general industry one. But depending on what you like, I am sure there is a Tycoon game that addresses it.
