Your Questions About Business Online Services

John asks…
Do I have to pay a taxes if I register my company in Delaware and will accept my payment through PayPal?
I heard that Delaware is the State where you don’t have to pay taxes, but at the same time I don’t see all companies registered in that state, so I expect there might be some rules and exceptions.
I am planning to open consultation company that will provide online consultation services that will be paid by via PayPal. My question — if my company will have a PayPal Business account — will I have to pay taxes or I’d be able to save all the money?
Thank you

Jere answers:
If it sounds too good to be true that is probably because it is too good to be true. If what you heard was true everybody would move to Deleware.

Nancy asks…
What do I need to start a business in Omaha, Nebraska?
I’m starting an online business (selling domains and other services as a reseller for commission). I have a EIN (Employer Tax ID) and DBA (Doing Business As) license. What else do I need and do I have to worry about taxes or anything relating to that?
Also, if I decide to not work on commission, what do I need and what do I have to do tax and legal wise.

Ken asks…
which is the best website to air complaints about online stores?
Which are the best websites where you can air bad business practice from online retail stores and other online services. In a nutshell, anything that you do not like about a website, online store, blogg etc etc

Jere answers:
You can actually file a complaint as well as give reviews through the Better Business Bureau. They will actually investigate your claims and can sometimes help you to get some money back, etc. If you just google “Google Reviews” it will allow you to give reviews about any business that appears on the site.

Linda asks…
Has anyone used one of those internet sites that offer free business cards?
There are a lot of offers online for such services but I’m not sure of the legitimacy of these offers. I don;t mind paying for business cards either if the price is reasonable. Anyone have any reliable, trustworthy sites?

Jere answers:
Ive used vistaprint myself, but they are not “free”. You pay for the extras they push on you and you have to have their logo on the back of them. Shipping is also more than it would normally be. It is pretty cheap though if you dont mind advertising them as well as yourself.
I would suggest that if you can afford paying a bit more, you use them but not the ‘free’ version if you really want to put on a more ‘professional’ appearance. That way at least the business card will only be about ‘your’ business.

James asks…
How can my customers schedule appointments online?
I am a small business owner and I would like for my clients to be able to schedule appointments with me online. Are there services that do this?

Jere answers:
Yes, there are, but I do not advise using them. Unless you know each particular client, and provide them with an exclusive name and password, you will find your appointments calendar filled, but with very few actually showing up. If you are not able to schedule your own appointments, I would recommend using a service which will book appointments over the phone for you, as opposed to letting clients book their own on the Internet. They will know how to filter the real calls from any pranks. This I believe will make your life much easier.
