Thomas asks…

What fields in business require a company to exchange files with a large number of clients/partners?

In the question I am asking what specific professions need to exchange files with large numbers of external users. By external I mean outside of their own company, so clients or business partners.

What tools or online services do they use to do so?

This question is for market research, if thats not obvious already. 🙂

Jere answers:

Sending files that are practically too large for email (>10MB) to my market research clients is difficult since many IT departments of block access to FTP sites. I’ve had a lot of success with YouSendIt.

Mark asks…

How to get Affiliates for you business?

Our business provides online car purchase services. Right now I have been asked to create an affiliate program where websites related to cars would be our affiliates. I can’t find any such website. Additionally I have been asked to collect about 100 affiliates for our business. How can I achieve this without joining networks like LinkShare or Commision Junction? If you have the slightest idea please let me know.

Jere answers:

Why not join a network? They come with a ready-supply of potential affiliates to market to. If you’re small, try ShareASale – they’re good for small businesses. Also, give PayDotCom.com a try, too.

I work for a webhosting company and I have been having thoughts of starting my own online service/business. Is there anybody who has had good furtune with online money making. I just need strategy ideas and comments from anyone who has made good profits working from a computer. Thank you!

Jere answers:

Myspace and Google are probably some of the most successful, mostly because they reach a large amount of people. Social networks and information centers can probably relate to most anyone, so you might want to think of something along those lines. Or maybe something like eBay, which reaches a large populous as well.

Good luck!
