Your Questions About Direct Marketing Definition

Charles asks…
Does The U.S. Have an Imperialist Foreign Policy?
By definition no they do not. You can’t be considered imperialist if you don’t use satellite countries to your direct economic advantage. For instance, if we HAD taken Iraqi oil from the Iraqi’s, THAT would be imperialism. But, since the U.S. does not employ these tactics, the country is showing something different entirely.
The U.S. recognizes that global stability is in the direct interests of the global economy, and what’s good for the global economy, is good for the U.S. That’s why a stable democratic Iraq with a free market economy benefits the U.S.
In short, the U.S. doesn’t want to steal Iraqi oil, the U.S. wants to be able to buy Iraqi oil on the open market.
But perception is reality. What do ya’ll think?

The only thing the US has ever taken after a war is enough land to bury our dead.
Imperialism is about taking what you can and holding onto it. The US doesn’t do that, we try to right injustices and keep evil at bay, and then leave. Unless asked by others to stay and help to defend them, as with Germany, Japan, S. Korea, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, etc. When they ask us to leave we will.

Nancy asks…
Was the claim Obama was a radical socialist who wanted to nationalize private businesses largely a myth?
After 2-and-a-half years in his presidency, Barack Obama has actually left business and industry mainly under private ownership.
Regarding his health-care reform law, it has not (so far) abolished private health insurance.
As for the GM and Chrysler auto companies: General Motors used to be 61 Percent owned by the U.S. federal government, but the feds sold a large share of GM on the stock market in late 2010, reducing the share to 33 percent. As for Chrysler, the federal government (at most) owned only 9 percent of that company, and this year actually complete divested it’s small stake in Chrysler.
Socialism strictly defined as direct government ownership of business and industry. A more broad definition of socialism would include redistribution of wealth by taxation and public-spending policies.
Communism and Marxism are defined as extreme forms of socialism in which private enterprise is totally or near-totally abolished.
Rather than called President Obama “communist” or “Marxist”, why not call him a “wealfare statist”, “social democrat”, or “very mild socialist”?

Jere answers:
TARP (Corporate Welfare) was Obama’s biggest blunder.
Oops. That was Bush/Paulson. My bad.

Jere answers:
Try using google to read each word’s definition, or maybe wikipedia.
For example, when I googled “capitalism definition” I clicked on the “merriam-webster” link and got:
“an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market”.
This is not difficult to match to one of the definitions, right?

Ken asks…
Rant about the voters of America?
Something I’ve noticed in my time here in America is that the voters often think of Democrats as “DAMN SOCIALISTS” or “DAMN COMMIES,” whereas the Republicans are the greatest thing ever. I read a Yahoo! writer once refer to Obama as a Marxist. According to Marx, communism’s outlook on freedom was based on an agent, obstacle, and goal. The agent is the common/working people; the obstacles are class divisions, economic inequalities, unequal life-chances, and false consciousness; and the goal is the fulfillment of human needs including satisfying work, and fair share of the product. Does that necessarily sound like Obama’s ideals?
As for Democrats somehow being socialists, the definition of socialism is “Socialism is an economic system based upon production for use and the direct allocation of economic inputs to satisfy economic demands and human needs (use value); accounting is based on physical quantities of resources, some physical magnitude, or a direct measure of labor-time.Goods and services for consumption are distributed through markets, and distribution of income is based on the principle of individual merit/individual contribution.”
YES, WE ALL KNOW THAT DEMOCRATS WANT THERE TO BE A DISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111111111111oneoneoenoenone
As for Obama, he’s on the right, but he’s Authoritarian. Many, if not all, of Obama criticizers don’t even consider the social scale before calling someone a liberal or a conservative. Hell, most don’t even call liberals liberals, they usually call them “DAMN COMMIES.”
Now, for those who are too lazy or bigoted enough to read this, here are cliffnotes;
Obama isn’t a Marxist
Obama isn’t socialist
Democrats aren’t socialist (usually)
Democrat isn’t interchangeable with liberal
Republican isn’t interchangeable with conservative.
