Your Questions About Direct Marketing Solutions

John asks…

What lens solution should I use with Air optix aqua? 10pts?

I don’t know which cleaning solution to buy, and the optometrist office is closed.

Jere answers:

I work in the optical industry and I say to patients to buy, if you can find it, Ciba Vision’s “AO Sept”. It uses an effervescent (fizzes while disinfecting and cleans your lenses) solution. It is in a blue/ purple colored box (larger size). Try to find it in a drugstore. Check the pharmacy section. Or go to Wal-mart, Sam’s club or any CVS and Walgreen’s. This is the best on the market. Use this AS DIRECTED. Then go back to the optometrist office for a free sample of this. Get free samples of re-wetting drops for dry eyes (for the summer/winter season).

Jenny asks…

How do I trade in shares when I have mislaid the share certificate?

I appear to have mislaid the share certificate, and without this cannot sell the shares I have. What is the solution please

Jere answers:

You can call the company (shareholder services) ask them for their Transfer agent (name, address & the direct departmental phone number),

Call the transfer agent (it probably is a bank), give e them the name of the company, the number of shares you have (had), and your social security number.

The Agent will confirm that the shares are still in your name and outstanding.
Tell them you need a replacement certificate since the original is lost.

They will send you the paper work to obtain a surety bond needed to replace and issue a new certificate. (The bond may cost you up to 10% of the current market value. When the paper work is completed by you send it back to the Transfer Agent (along with the money for the bond).
The agent will send you a new certificate

what exactly does a marketing communications officer do?

I just want to know what exactly does a marketing communications (marcom) officer do? i just got hired to a printer manufacturing company as a marcom exec but i have no idea what a marcom exec is. Thanks

Jere answers:

Marketing Communications (or MarCom or Integrated Marketing Communications) are messages and related media used to communicate with a market. Those who practice advertising, branding, direct marketing, graphic design, marketing, packaging, promotion, publicity, sponsorship, public relations, sales, sales promotion and online marketing are termed marketing communicators, marketing communication managers, or more briefly as marcom managers.

Traditionally, marketing communication practitioners focus on the creation and execution of printed marketing collateral; however, academic and professional research developed the practice to use strategic elements of branding and marketing in order to ensure consistency of message delivery throughout an organization – the same “look & feel”. Many trends in business can be attributed to marketing communication; for example: the transition from customer service to customer relations, and the transition from human resources to human solutions. In branding, opportunities to contact stakeholders are called brand touchpoints (or points of contact.) Marketing communication is concerned with the general behavior of an organization and the perceptions of the organization that are promoted to stakeholders and prospect clients through these touchpoints.

Marketing communications is focused on product/produce/service as opposed to corporate communications where the focus of communications work is the company/enterprise itself. Marketing communications is primarily concerned with demand generation, product/produce/service positioning while corporate communications deal with issue management, mergers and acquisitions, litigation etc.

Has anyone ever worked for driven marketing solutions in Pittsburgh pa?

I have a second round interview there that’s a job shadow. It’s a sales position so I’m trying to find out if it’s legit

Jere answers:

Driven Marketing Solutions, a start up been in business since 2011, is a privately owned direct sales and marketing company in Pittsburgh, PA. Website: http://www.dmspitt.com/ The company which is a startup has only been in business for a year there are no negative comments on the web or no reports of scam. However it appears based on job descriptions to be your typical entry level sales i.e. Door to door commissions only. If you have not asked the below questions on your first interview I would on the second interview. Good Luck!

If the job ad for entry-level training for sales, marketing and management “sounds too good to be true”, be cautious and ask lots of questions during the job interview. Is the job door-to-door sales, commission only, and with no benefits? Are you sure you really want to work on commission pay driving possibly hundreds of miles a week?

Can you wire the volume controls on the steering wheel of a 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited to a post market stereo?

Just purchased a 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited, which has volume controls on the rear side of the steering wheel. I’m just wondering it it’s at all possible to wire the current controls on the wheel to an after market stereo?

Jere answers:

I looked on crutchfield.com, and they sell little boxes by a company called PAC ADAPTER that interface between your steering wheel audio controls and select aftermarket car stereos.

A lot of aftermarket stereos come with wireless remotes. The PAC SWI-X wires into your steering wheel controls, and commands the stereo through the wireless remote. Check compatibility with the stereo you’re interested in. Also, this solution can have problems when there is direct sunlight on the face of your stereo.

Direct wire-in adapters that don’t use the IR remote are available for some aftermarket stereos:
• PAC SWI-PS – for some Pioneer and Sony stereos
• PAC SWI-JACK – for some Alpine, Clarion, JVC, and Kenwood stereos
• PAC SWI-ALP – for some Alpine stereos
All these are compatible with your 2004 Liberty steering wheel controls, according to crutchfield.com.

Probably the best thing to do is find a car stereo that and is compatible with one of these devices and has the features and price you like.
