Contacting a Online business and asking them would be a good start.
But another thing you need to figure out is, what is the scope of your business, what do you hope to sell or what service will you provide? Market your website towards that and then it’ll be easier. As for the banking side of things paypal can take care of you, also I believe that amex has an online merchant site.

Mark asks…
Do I need a license to start an online business?
My friend and I are trying to start an online business selling computer parts that we will purchase from a local computer hardware store, and I’m wondering if we would require a license of any sort to start up a site, and to sell our goods online. I’ve searched all over the internet, and been to the Canadian government‘s site searching for information, and have yet to find any. If any of you possess any knowledge regarding this matter, it would be greatly appreciated.
**We live in Ontario, Canada**

Jere answers:
Absolutely not! Home based do not need it!

Ruth asks…
Where can I get business funding or grants?
Does anyone know where I can get funding or a grant to maintain my small business. I really am not looking for a bank loan, but rather something from the state or federal government. Its an online business and if anyone can be specific about what program or agency to look at, it would be wonderful.
Thanks

Jere answers:
A loan is all that is available. The governement is not going to pay you to sit at home running your business. You either sustain yourself or you don’t.
Sba.gov has information about government backed loans.

Nancy asks…
Can I start an online lottery business in Ontario?
What types of registrations are required to start an online lottery business for profit?
Would I need to register with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario?
or do I only have to register as a business with the provincial government?
Any info on this topic will be much appreciated.

Jere answers:
You may not offer a lottery anywhere
they are all RFPd out
sorry

Ken asks…
Is selling your pictures online a business?
Many professional photographers sell their pictures on a website. Would this be a business to the US government? Do they put this in their taxes?

Jere answers:
If you are making money then it has to be declared to the taxman.
