Donna asks…

Which is the most reliable place to find email lists to use in email marketing?

Before I have been looking for emails in torrent sites but I doubt their reliability. They are not even well organized and I never know where they came from. I need emails I know who they belong to like country, interests, age, male or female etc. Which is the most reliable place to get email lists?

Jere answers:

Can Spam regulations have reduced such unsolicited mail. Those who continue such spam appear to be operating off shore.

Legitimate marketers rent mailing lists of demographically categorized, opted in names from mailing list brokers, usually involving thousands of dollars.

Nancy asks…

I am lost on how to go about putting together email marketing lists. Please help!?

I have examined every little thing from traffic to blogs to ppc. I am also au courant to joining. I am so irked! Can someone please cast off some information on the business and tell me what I need to do to get going? No one opts in at my site and I feel like no matter what I try and put up to entice them nothing works. NO SPAM PLEASE!.

Jere answers:

The foremost way I know of is to simply knock down a list of subscribers who are already pre-disposed to what you are selling and market to them without deviation. This way your not assuming like you do when you score traffic. I don’t particulary commend buying traffic as it does not portion anything for you. In other words, its contrary to reason to tell who is purchasing if they do buy. They are lost forever! With a subscriber list you can see who clicked because of your emails and who didn’t.. Muchimproved.

Ruth asks…

How do I opt out of email marketing lists?I By accident I opted-into one. Help.?

Jere answers:

There are a lot of tricky marketing strategies used online, most of it is now just considered Spam.

Basically once the blackhats have your email there is nothing you can do. You can look at the bottom of the emails if there are unsubscribing options but if there are none you either have to mark it as Spam so your spam filter will throw it away automatically or get a new email account.

I personally recommend Google Mail as there spam filter is very effective, the software runs well, and you have tons of storage.

Carol asks…

Jere answers:

Direct Magazine, a trade magazine for direct marketers, offers listings of lists being sold/rented, many of which include opt in emails from various sources. Check out their vendors at http://www.directmag.com/resourcecenter/listfinder/
