I don’t think you will ever not feel overwhelmed in Internet marketing, that is just the nature of the beast. There is so much to learn and you can never learn it all. Plus, just when you think you got it Google changes their algorithm and you have to readjust!
Nevertheless, it looks like everything you are mentioning can be divided into two different fields; Search Engine Marketing and Web design. For Search Engine Marketing check out http://www.pioneersem.com for a run-down of the different aspects and where you may want to concentrate your efforts (it’s not the best looking site on the web, but I’m working on it). What is the best service/program to send email newsletters to established list of 1400 people?
We used a free version with our previous web host, but have moved to go daddy and their Express Email Marketing program was a total disaster for us. We need one that is relatively inexpensive and easy to maintain and use for a non-technical person.

One that I’ve used it mail chimp. I think it might be www.mailchimp.com. I think you pay about a cent an email. They have a good html email set up section. If the website isn’t right just search for mailchimp. Make sure you don’t spam, they’ll kick you out pretty quick.

How can I export Microsoft Outlook contacts by category?
Each of my contacts is in several categories. When I export contacts (via CSV or to Excel), each listing (name) shows all of its categories as a single unit. I am needing to export lists of contacts in discrete categories so that my email marketing service is able to drop them into groups. I realize that I will end up with duplicates, but that’s okay.

Go open Microsoft outlook under your file
if you can not find it go under search in your start icon
and open microsoft outlook and you should have your cateogries there. Open each one and copy and paste the contacts
