Your Questions About Email Marketing Templates

Lizzie asks…
I am looking at making a professional looking marketing email.?
Can any one recommend where I can find some templates online? free or don’t mind paying along as it does the trick.

Jere answers:
To make your life easier and send professional emails (including free templates), you may want to consider using a service like Constant Contact or MailChimp.
I use MailChimp for our company and create my own templates and don’t need to be a graphics designer or html developer.
MailChimp has free service for something like12000 emails per month.
You can use MailChimp for signup forms on your website and autoresponders (automatic replys) even if you don’t have a website.
GOOD LUCK

Chris asks…
Best email marketing?
What is the difference between email marketing software and service???
I need to send email blasts to a database of around 15,000 previous customers/guests. But i want more than just to be able to send an email i want it to perhaps have good design templates/wizards, mail open reports and stuff like that.
I have never done this before, it has always been an IT guy who has written some program for me, all i had to do was draft the email and provide the database. But now I am running my own company and don’t have an IT department I need to do it myself now.
Any help and advice would be great… By the way I have been told about YMLP… are they any good? I see they offer a lot for only 3.75USD per month… but if someone can tell me of a better alternative then i will go with that…
Many thanks in advance
rob

Jere answers:
Hey rob,
i’m not that much clear with you. But doing a little guess work, i think you are talking about auto responders (software’s that send emails out to a list of poeple automatically — mostly web based.). And if i am correct so far, i will recommend you to use ‘aweber’ (aweber.com). It’s a great web based autoreponder service but you need to ‘double opt-in’ your customers. I.e. They have to confirm the subscription. And you may lose some of them during this process.
Moreover if you want some chit-chat with me you can get me at mic_kym4@yahoo.com. And that’s coz i enjoy meeting like-minded people to share ideas with.
Ur welcome

Sandra asks…
Does anyone know of a good email newsletter package that suits a small budget?
I would like to use an email marketing / newsletter package to send emails to members of my organisation but do not really know where to start.
I have done a few simple emails using outlook but it doesnt look that good and a fair few bounce back.
Ive seen that there are a lot of packages out there and I dont really know which to go with. Im looking to email approx 1500 people, once a month to start with. It doesnt have to be anything too sophisticated but I would like to have a choice of a few templates and be able to track the responses.
Thanks

Jere answers:
Try this site…it has several links to suppliers of email programs:

There is a bit of a range of prices, depending on your needs. Take a look at them all, they’re all really good.
I hope this helps.

Paul asks…
Anyone know any good email marketing companies?
I need to find a good email marketing company that allows lots of user customization, let’s you copy and paste from outside sources (like Word) and edit message templates easily. I’m looking for top notch user friendliness and preferrably either free or a long free trial period with a good pricing system after that. I tried Constant Contact but I had lots of problems pasting and editing their templates. Same with IContact and even Freeautobot.com gave me issues with manipulating my messages – it was too clunky too). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Jere answers:
Constant Contact sent out an email just today that they have improved their copy and paste function in editing templates. You can now choose to copy and paste as text only or paste with formatting intact.
Or check out Lyris http://www.lyris.com/ or Topica http://www.topica.com/

How can I use an email marketing site to publish my own personalized newsletter?
I have created my own personalized newsletter in publisher, however when I send as a message my graphics, images and text are removed, missing and/or blank. I don’t desire to send as an attachment and i do know that its the best way, but I can’t imagine that this is either impossible or unfix-able. So the question is, How can I fix this with publisher or even outlook? or is there a way to send a .pdf via message vs. attachment and I am willing to spend $$ if there is a email marketing site that will allow me to upload my own? Lastly Is there a website that allows my own creation that I can use my own detail and be able to send newsletters instead of their provided templates? I am desperate but I believe I will have a break through. Thanks all.

Jere answers:
Here’s a different approach that may help you.
Publish your newsletter on a blog and email your subscribers a link to the blog post.
Doing this will also get your newslettter indexed by the search engines and drive traffic to your site helping you get your message out to more people. Stick an opt-in box in the sidebar of the blog and use plug-ins to help your readers share the content and you will soon start to get more leverage in your niche.
