I was going to try vista Print, but I heard they suck for some reason, although the site and options are awesome. Anyone know where I can get some cool business cards, like plastic ones or something? Thanks!

They were good price and quality and very accommodating. I actually liked there designs, but wanted something specific, so I just emailed them and told them what I wanted and they created something for us. Actually did a couple of different versions and they did the size that we wanted.

Absolutely free you may not find. VERY cheap you can. Vista print offers 250 “free” business cards, you end up paying for shipping and handling at about $5 – $6 dollars which is still a good price. I know at the “Newport Mall” in New Jersey there was a machine that made you instant business cards with clip art for 5 dollars as well (check out your local mall). The only other low cost option is to hit Office Max or Staples, grab a pack of perforated business card stock and create them at home, you can go on their sites and use their free business card templates. You can check the prices online.

trouble printing out business cards?
i am trying to print out business cards for my business that i just started. every time i try it. they come out above the rip appart lines. i am selecting the correct type of paper when i start the project so thats not it. and i have calibrated the printer 2 times. any ideas on what it could be thats holding me up????? please any helpfull hints would be greatly appreachatied.

I use the free Avery business card software (the downloadable one, not the online program which is too limited for me). Using the Avery ‘Clean Edge’ card stock available at places like Staples, I’ve never had a problem with it, and there are a zillion different styles you can use. Or you can just make your own design from scratch. You can also import graphics or photos as well. And the cards themselves look just like they were professionally printed. The perforated edges are so fine that you can’t even see them at all. After they are printed, you just break them off the page like cookies.
Also, when I am setting up the layout, I print one or more test pages on regular paper and then line that up on top of the (more expensive) card stock to see if I’ve gotten it just right before I make the final run. Of course I’m sure you’ve probably already tried all that. Anyway, good luck and hope it works out!
