Hi there
To start an online business, you don’t need to take any permissions if you are selling something to Indians only.
All you have to do is start your website and create a current bank account. A current bank account is as good as a “proprietorship concern”.
If you plan to sell something to people outside India, a PayPal account will help. Depending on what you are selling, you may need to get an IEC code made.
I am assuming you are not stocking anything and wish to keep things as simple as possible. Rest I can only comment once you give more details.

Your intended business activity will need various approvals as you as promoters will be an NRI if at all you are a person of Indian Origin.
ADV in TOI & Economic Times in Mumbai, inviting Consultants and existing operators to have dialogue with you. Briefly explain your scheme and ensure that the AD you insert in a ‘Display Ad’ which attracts attention of readers and prospective investors/consultants.
You will surely have response but first you will have to spend on the AD as this will be an indirect source of investment.

I would like to start an ONLINE STORE in india. Suppose iam planning to start an online electronic gadget store, how to collaborate with direct companies or can I deal with physical stores? How are the thingS done? PLEASE ANY ONE HELP ME.

First you need a business licence that allows you to sell the products you want to offer.
Then you need to do one of two things:
You either buy stuff on stock and sell it from there or you collaborate with companies and work on some kind of commissions.
For the sales side, try to get a great web designer and offer lots of different payment options – that’s important on the internet. I would at least offer direct transfer, credit card and some safe online payment options like paysafecard.
After you got all that it’s all about good promotion, but that’s another story 🙂
