Tips on starting affiliate online business?
Pls, i wants to start an affiliate internet business but does not know which to pay for due to lot of scam.
Can someone help me with scam free sites where i can pay to start immediately. Also, how profitable are those paid to join affiliate groups.
Thanks dearly

Jere answers:
Hi Christoper, thanks for a great question!
To begin with, I should say there’s nothing simple about affiliate marketing. There’s indeed a lot of scam, and the main reason for that is that there are people looking for easy money.
Here are a number of things for you to consider before you start as an affiliate marketer:
1.First and foremost, ask yourself if you’re ready to leave your comfort zone and work hard on mastering SEO and Internet marketing. If your answer is “no”, don’t read further.
2.Look for lists of available affiliate programs. To do that, join free affiliate communities like Commission Junction, Affiliate.com, ClickBank, Share a Sale, Affiliate Window, LinkShare. Take your time to look around, carefully going through the lists of affiliate programs available.
3.You’ll find various programs structured according to the thematic niche. Choose the niche that appeals to you most, e.g. Health/weight loss, software, food/drinks.
4.Do research on the programs available at the niche you have chosen. Google the name of the program and choose “discussions” in the left tab, then choose a recent time frame. You’ll find out what people say about the program. Also go to various forums where there are special affiliate marketing sections and ask your questions.
5.Once you choose THE affiliate program, develop a plan to promote it. The best solution is not to follow you competitors, but rather lead working out “a niche within a niche”.
6.Work hard and consistently at fulfilling your plan.
Good luck,
Rick

online clothing store business tips/advice?
Im currently running a semi popular online fashion magazine and my main goal is to attract a lot of traffic and the past few years Ive been getting 4,000 on a good day. My main goal is to open up a flagship store but in order to do that I need to have a successful online store. It’s really a home base business as of right now.
I’ve started to go to M.A.G.I.C convention every once and a while to learn how to order products. My question is how can I make the business legit? How do I pay my taxes? Where do I store my products? Where can I go to get a business loan and how much should I get for starters?

Jere answers:
Start by registering your business with your local county. The rules vary with states, so check what is required of you — in California, for example you will need to get a business license for all businesses that operate while in Virginia, you don’t need a license for an online business
Pay your taxes — Make sure you keep all your receipts, including travel to attend trade shows. If you are sole proprietorship, do the Schedule C Profit and Loss.
Since this is a home-based business, make sure you’ve got dedicated space to run your business so you can deduct portion of your rent and utilities for the running of your business. Start reading IRS publication Business Use of Home http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p587.pdf
Track your conversions very carefully. Get a copy of the Internet Retailer magazine http://www.internetretailer.com so you can better understand how to sell on the web, including marketing, increasing conversions. Sign up for Google Analytics and use their Ecommerce section so you can do an analysis of your sales process
Business Loan – talk with your bank. They might be able to help you since you’re an existing client with them. Or make an appointment with your local SBDC Small Business Development Center http://www.sba.gov/aboutsba/sbaprograms/sbdc/index.html and ask them to help you package your loan application and refer you to banks or financial institutions who may be receptive to your business and your situation.

Does anybody have tips on opening an online business?
I am 21 years old and going to college but in the future I would like to open a business on the side. I thought it would be best to start online then move to an actual store. The only problem is I don’t know the first thing about opening an online store. I want to start a band merchandising retail store. Can anybody tell me where to start? How do i get suppliers? and any other tips.’
Thank you!!!
:]
P.S I know the odds are against me with the economy and all but to be honest I don’t care. I would rather try and fail then to have not tried at all!

Jere answers:
If I was you, I would look at being a merchant selling goods via Amazon.com. That’ll give your business the most online exposure vs. You trying to market a small business retail site.

Tips and tricks for starting out online?
I want to start a photography business online, but I don’t really know how to go about doing it. I was wondering if I should start out by selling my stuff on a website such as cafepress, or devaintart until I get the hang of it to make a website of my own. Would you guys recommend either site or not?

Jere answers:
I would definitely suggest Cafepress to start your online business. It’s a print on demand website where there is no start up cost except $6.95 every month for their premium site. You design and they handle mailing, customer service, returns, etc.
It does take work, time and patience, but if your art is what customers are looking for then you’ll earn commission.
Good luck.
