What Business Licences Will I Need To Open An Internet Business?
Hello, What licences will I need to legally open an online retail e-commerance business. I will be selling law enforcement and security items online. I will have no open store so their will be no need for people to be on my property (for liability). I currently hold a state tax id so I can charge sales tax for CT. What else do I need? Is a business licence needed for e-commerance.

Check with the state office and they will tell you all the license you will need, cause it all depends on what you’re going to be selling over the Internet.

I started an internet business, have advertised, am getting about 150 new visitors a week, and only 1 sale!?
I started an online consignment business about 8 months ago. I have a pretty large inventory with new additions daily. Everything is priced well and shipping is cheap. I have been getting roughly 150 new visitors a week based on my counters. I am currently making the site go directly into the store instead of a homepage to make it more “store” based. I am not asking this question to advertise, I am asking for help because I feel I am missing something. Your home page should describe your business, personalize it by telling its history, and a bit about you. It should describe your products in general, shipping methods, and guarantees. The photography is not the best, with glare from lighting on some products. Descriptions of products are not detailed, including condition of used products. If you are selling products for others, the owner should fill out a form you create with lots of details before you accept them. Some of the printed descriptions have lines of type that are not readable.

I would like to start a small home based business, mostly internet sales, craft shows, home shows, catalog sales etc. selling different types of gifts. I have found a supplier and have been doing research on the licenses and permits I will need but am a little confused on where to start. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

SCORE is a nonprofit organization. They provide a public service by offering small business advice and training. .
SCORE’s 10,500 volunteers have more than 600 business skills. Volunteers share their wisdom and lessons learned in business. The volunteers are working/retired business owners, executives and corporate leaders.

Can I have same earnings internet business that common business?
For instance beside my house there is a store that sales computer equipments its has a lot customers,so can I get the same earnings with a web site that sell computer equipments?

First, you have no idea how much they are actually earning and unless you speak with the owner – you’re guessing.
Second, the short answer is – No. You will be competing with Dell, Apple, Asus and Amazon.
The reason your neighbor has “lots of customers” is he likely provides services for people who have purchased their computers. What you see are computers he can service…there’s nothing inside the cases.
Find something easier to do if you want to work online and make the same income as a store in your area.

I own a small web/internet services business. I do not have the budget to hire in house sales team currently. I cannot take on sales on my own because i do not have the time as i am involved with product development/ services. I am thinking f i can find someone who can work with me on commission basis and sell across north america and europe. But i am not sure about the pro and cons of such a situation
