Jere answers:
From what I understand the only thing you can protect is the company name, company logos or the company product if manufactured by yourself, or if your selling more of an information product or something similar you would of had to be the one to come up with it. In general if its is not your product then no there is no way to protect it. There is not many things out there that have not been covered already on the interenet.

Does any entrepreneur have any really good business ideas?
Does any entrepreneur have any really good business ideas because i want to become a business man. I have read books like Peter Jones but not really a help, please help if you have the mind of a tycoon!

Jere answers:
One of the best types of businesses to do is a home based business. You have the same income opportunity as a traditional business without all the over head expenses. Just about everything that you use in your home on a daily bases becomes a tax write off. Things such as your telephone, cell phone, Internet, electricity, gas and even down to car expenses. Huge income opportunity with less expendures which basically mean more profit!
Look into the telecommunications industry, travel, or anything that is in high demand and will always be used everywhere.
I provided my source below with over half a dozen different industries to take a look at.

I want to start an internet on line business?
I want to spend up to 2000 dollars on an on line internet business. I know how to do things like set up a WordPress site and buying domain names, I’m willing to work hard, and I’m not expecting to earn too much money – just a regular income of 1000 dollars a month would suffice. All I need is an idea from someone who knows what he/she is talking about.
Thanks

Ken asks…
How many businesses can you run under a company?
I have a number of business ideas going in a few different directions but all of them will be internet businesses. If I self-corporate, can I have start these businesses under just one company?
Alsod, is it legal to retain profits for a company for a number of years. If it is, are there any requirements to justify it or otherwise?
Thanks for your comments!

Jere answers:
The laws vary with the state, in my state of North Carolina, you may specify the type of business in your Articles of Incorporation as “Any Lawful Business”, and therefore not be limited. You will however have to make all other requirements. So you can do many different “Business types” businesses under one corporation. But you should go to the web site for the Secretary of State in your state, and see what the laws of your state require.
As for retaining profits, that is a tax issue, and it depends on may IRS considerations that you need to speak with a tax expert. I incorporated and requested S-Corp status from the IRS, for no federal income tax, but what you do and how you make money and how much profit you may retain for corporate growth may affect that. Again, talk to a tax expert.
You mentioned self-incorporate. I think you should not be using that concept. When you incorporate, you are creating a business entity that is separate from yourself. You are not self-incorporating, you are creating a corporation under the laws of the state. You need to keep the corporation separate from your personal finances.

Susan asks…
How does one go about getting on the blasted internet?
I’ve heard a lot about this internet business but I’ve no idea what to do.
Should I buy one of those computer things that everybody talks about these days?
As a child I had one of those ghastly Sinclair Spectrums that the riff raff used to have. Mummy still has it in the basement. Should I get it out and try to get on the internet with it? Will it be easy to set up?
Thank you ever so much for your advice.
