Your Questions About Internet Business Models

Steven asks…

I am looking for a specific lecture video regarding internet business model.?

The guy doing the presentation was not slim build and some specific things he was talking were e.g. a new task means a new job, if you get a new operation or task to be solved hire someone and there is always someone who wants to work for less than you want or something like that. He also showed a slide where if all the business operations had to be done by only one person, he wont have time to do other thing. Meaning, he wanted people to distribute and stuff like. I really need that please.

Jere answers:

Have you tried to google search this. You knowing the specifics you can advance search it .It might be on U-tube where you can break down the categories starting with business lectures and so forth.
Good luck.

Donna asks…

Does anyone know how to create an advertising business model for an Internet company in excel?

Also, do you know how to do the equivalent for an Affiliate Program? What assumptions should a internet startup make; and how do we create the model in excel?

Jere answers:

You need more than excel! Check out http://www.paloalto.com/ps/ap/

The affiliate marketing one would require a slightly different approach: google “affiliate marketing school” or “affiliate marketing” to get some resources.

Lizzie asks…

I have the perfect Internet business model.?

I have the perfect Internet business, I call it ” pet in a roll”.
Picture a roll of carpet, rolled up with a dish of food, water bottle, and a pet.
It could be a dog, cat, or any other pet of choice.
No more having to visit all the areas of the store, when
you can pick up the “pet in a roll”, in one easy place.

Whats ya think?

Jere answers:

Wow.. I wanna hear more about it?

James asks…

The Internet maynot make corporations absolute, but they will have to change their business models,do u agree?

Jere answers:

With rising energy costs for transportation, I believe that we’ll see a more distributed work-force, and more tele-commuting.

We’ve seen this already with airline reservations, proof-reading for book publishers, and in the 2008 US Presidential election campaigns where people use the Internet along with telephone and work without leaving their homes.

William asks…

Looking for an internet business with an affiliate programe built in for people to promote products.?

I am looking for a business model to set up an online company that can give me tools, products and resources and allows me to run an affiliate programe and grow the business.

Idealy a company that can provide a turnkey or whitelabell solution wherby you are provided with tools and resouces to build and promote the business using various internet marketing options.

Not a network marketing company or being an affiliate for some else. Its my baby and has leverage built in by affiliates working for me.

Thanks

Jere answers:

Internet is like anything else from cooking to cars to clothing. If the premade packages dont work for you then there is always the old do-it-yourself option.

The old affiliate program involved tracking hits on your webpage. If I have the logs for Any1Can.net then I can see hits. If I have a script that I want to have handle something then I can add to the end of the link such as Any1Can.net?this=something which creates a variable called “this” and puts the word “something” into it.

If I dont actually have a script and dont need the variable “this” it doesnt matter since the system will just ignore it. It doesnt hurt anything. If you have someone named Dommy who sends people to your shop then you can tell him to use the link of Any1Can.net/shop.html?sentby=dommy and you can easily pull all of the “sentby” references from the log whenever you want to reward your affiliates. And later, when you get too many to easily handle then you can go ahead and create a CGI script to collect those and process them to a spreadsheet or something.

If you set your shop to use something like PayPal shopping cart then I tihnk there are logs which can let you veirify that the person provided you an actual sale instead just a referral
