How do I get completely free phone service over the internet?

Hello everyone!

I’m going wireless, & would like to just use my cell for personal use. But for business purposes, how would I make or receive calls over the internet? Would it be thru skype?

I want a way that is completely free & also, if it requires a special phone, about how much it would be.

Thank you!

Jere answers:

Welcome to Yahoo! Messenger. You still have to pay money for some of it, but from what it sounds, it might be the right plan. Check out Yahoo! Messenger at: http://messenger.yahoo.com and get it for free. There, you can chat online by typing to other Yahoo! Messenger contacts, or even talk to them through the computers (PC to PC (free)). Then goto Yahoo! Voice ( http://voice.yahoo.com ) for low cost plans for called made from a computer to telephone (PC to telephone (in most places, it runs about a penny a minute)) or to the computer from a telephone (Telephone to PC, uses a telephone number to receive calls (I believe its $2.79 a mo.)
Then check out the Yahoo! Mobile http://mobile.yahoo.com for ways of staying connected with friends on the Yahoo! Messenger, even when you’re not online (uses cell phone to chat when your not online).
