Your Questions About Internet Business Phone Service

Linda asks…

What is a decent internet company without putting a hole in my pocket?

I’m tired of comcast’s crap and at&t wants you to get phone service with them or it costs more… I’m not interested in dial up. Any suggestions? Thanks

Jere answers:

If you want high speed internet, where I live at&t lets you get just internet about 3.5 MBPS for only $25.00 a month, but I do know that they may not offer that in many places. I live in a somewhat technology enhanced place so maybe not.

You can look at these.

Verizon
DSL Starter Package – $14.99 Per Month for life with a two-year commitment.
DSL Power Package – $27.99 Per Month for life with a two-year commitment.
Home Networking – DSL connections for multiple computers within your home.

Covad
Business DSL – Speeds up to 15Mbps. 24/7/365 dedicated support.
Business T1 – Speeds up to 3.0Mpbs. 30-day no risk guarantee.

Charles asks…

Is it rude or even unwise to hang up on a telemarketer if you do business with this company?

I’m not talking about a random telemarketer trying to sell me a vacation package or junk. But if my cable company calls me wanting me to upgrade or add phone service. If i hang up on them while they are trying to sell me something, will they get revenge against me ? Maybe by making my internet service slower or something?
And is it in general rude to hang up on people like this?

Jere answers:

Unwise. Here’s what you do.
-Answer the phone.
-Let them get thier memorized shpeel out…
-Tell them no thank you and ‘Please take me off your call list”

Once you do that, they are legally not allowed to call you anymore and if they do, then it is harassment.

David asks…

Have you ever used ACN phone service or been an affiliate?

My brother wants me to sign up to become apart of the company because it’s the Phone of the future…

do people, real people not folks born with silver spoons in their mouths really make money from being apart of this “Bizness” is it real? or just a waste of time and $499.00

How is the phone service?

Jere answers:

Yup, its absolutely real because I know someone who does this ACN “business”. ACN belongs to Donald Trump. They have everything: wireless phones, internet, satellite tv, and even digital phones. I don’t use their services personally, but the person I know uses their internet and phone service and she is satisfied. So yeah anyone can do this business. I don’t know how much money u get per client but it’s a good source of income. You first have to use their services in order to get other people to sign up for ACN’s services, which is how u make money. The person I know asked me to take it but I didn’t because their rates weren’t better than the ones I have for my Internet and phone. I don’t think u’ll be wasting ur time by working for ACN because it is an interesting way to earn money. Just go to www.myacn.com and you’ll find everything you need to know before you can make your decision.

John asks…

If I own a small business, can I get a residential phone plan or am I required to get a business plan?

I won a small office. Myself and 1 other employee work there. Right now we have no land line phone – just cell phones. I would like to get a fax machine attached to a landline (possibly through Verizon). Their business phone rates seem really high. Will they let me get a basic residential package? I don’t want any special features – just a basic phone line. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Jere answers:

Daniel asks…

Which is the best telephone service company for your money in las vegas?

I am moving to las vegas, nevada this month.
I may be interested in a combination ( internet, television cable, phone service) if it is better to purchase this way..

Jere answers:

I use Cox cable for everything except phone. (I have an ATT wireless business phone setup.) I’ve found that cable internet is the fastest you’ll find in the valley. Cable television beats satellite hands down here too. Many in the valley use cell phones for their home phone. I find ATT has the best coverage. (Important if you ever break down in the desert outside of town.)
