Setting up mobile phone unlocking business?
Hi
I was considering idea of setting up mobile phone unlock business(not internet, local). Is any ready-made solutions (boxes, software) for individuals with minimal technical knowledge in this field? Anybody tried it before or doing it at the moment? Town is 60 000 and nobody doing it here. Your opinions.

Even in a town of 60000 there will be nowhere near enough customers for this to be anything other than a sideline like casual boot sales selling. Usually you will see stalls in big sunday markets or big boot sales selling mobile phone accessories and also doing unlocking. To want to start a semi-technical business in a field you know nothing about seems a bit odd anyway.

small business network with internet access?
Hello, a friend of mine owns a restaurant, and since I’m in networking program (just finished CCNA1,2) and am in third chapter of ccna3, he asked me to rebuilt his network, which seemed like a pretty easy task, until I came upon this problem that no one ever mentioned in CCNA. So he’s got 16 computers that I connected together with cisco 2960 switch, also to the same switch I plugged in two wireless access points for customers in restaurant… now he has an internet connection that is a DSL and has a bandwith of 6Mbps, how do I go from the current setup of this LAN to the DSL modem without suffering a huge bottleneck? (I still have 6 fast ethernet ports and 2 gigabit ethernet ports available on my switch) .. also I would like to put the in-restaurant traffic on separate VLAN from the wirless customer traffic. Obviously with ccna 3 knowledge i know how to do this, but I can’t really figure out the way to give both these vlans internet access without using multiple routers or level 3 switch?… I just realized there are so many practical life scenarios that they dont teach you in ccna… Please if you have any solutions about how to setup this network it would be very highly appreciated. 6Mbps is pretty high so dont worry about bottleneck. You said no router nor an L3 switch? Then turn one of the computers into a router. That computer should have two NICs, and if it only has 1 just get 1 and install it. Make sure that one the NICs supports 802.1q (or vlan tagging/trunk) and VLANs so that that intervlan routing can be acheived. If you dont want users from the wireless to be able to access the one in the wired network, just use ACLs in the switch.

I want to know if its possible to start an internet business in Dubai but keep the company registered in India. Is this possible? If yes, under what conditions? If no, whats the alternative?

Hi,
I am confused as to why you want to do this but this is possible.
However you can run an internet business from anywhere in the world having just a computer and an internet connection.
But if at all you want your company to be registered in India and operate from Dubai here’s the solution.
I am too from India so I can provide you a way. What you can do is open your bank account in ICICI bank in India.
Then you can open up your website to run your own internet business from Dubai. If you are selling your own products you can signup under 2checkout, clickbank or paypal as they will allow you to accept credit card payments from your clients.
Also if you are selling affiliate products there are websites that will pay you directly into your paypal account.
And integrating your paypal, 2checkout or clickbank with ICICI bank is easy. Only clickbank sends you a check and if you decide to use 2checkout or paypal you can easily get a wire transfer payment to your ICICI account almost instantly.
I do this same setup for my clients who decide to opt my one on one help in starting their internet business.

what type of business software do i need?
ok so here is the situation im looking for a internet based business solution, for purchasing retail items from vendors/manufacturers and wholesalers, in order to get the best prices.
what i would like to be able to do is cross refrence all the price lists i have, based on the product i need and see who has that item from that vendor the cheapest.
i could do this in quickbooks, however the number of items i have far, far exceeds the limit built into quickbooks.
does anyone know what would be a possible software solution that would work the best for that application? automation is huge, the faster i can do it the better. PLEASE help!

There are a number of small business software, Not aware of any specific one for purchasing though.
The ones available help manage the overall business setup including the purchasing process.
Microsoft dynamics and SAP business one are good choices and both have web based cloud versions. SAP B1 also has many industry specific addons, so you might find one specifically designed for extensive purchasing- although i think its standard purchasing module might also do the work.
Salesforce is mainly for managing sales, but you can try asking them , they might have a similar solution for purchasing.
