Your Questions About Internet Marketing Jobs

Carol asks…

Is It possible to earn by Internet Marketing?

I have dabbled with Internet Marketing for the last year or so, with absolutely zero success.
I think I have cured myself of signing up for the next sure thing (scam), and am looking at taking it more seriously by joining a mentoring program.

There are a few out there and wondered if anyone had any experiences with them.

Jere answers:

Please get a real job.
This stuff will never pay.

Betty asks…

What are some of the jobs that require computer and business knowledge/experience?

I would like to know what kind of jobs are out there that require computer and business knowledge?
EX: business analyst, SEO, and internet marketing.
To clarify myself further, I’m not interested in an IT job.
Anything excluding the three job titles listed as an example would be appreciated.

Jere answers:

Nowadays computers are used in all types of jobs. If you are MBA or having any management degree or interest you can go for marketing and promoting a business or brand. SEO and internet marketing are also good career option if you have more interest on doing full time work on computers.

Charles asks…

What exactly is the best approach to article marketing?

I am quite new to the whole Internet marketing and SEO thing and I would really love to make marketing online a full-time job. But I am honestly so overwhelmed right now. I have read that article marketing is the best way to market my websites, but how exactly do I go about doing this?

Jere answers:

Article marketing, which is also called bum marketing in the online world, is a great way to drive traffic to your site and get backlinks, which are very important as well. Some people think that simply throwing up a random article onto an article directory will do them good, but there are specific things that you need to do with your articles in order to make them profitable.

First, don’t submit your articles to directories that don’t have some sort of Google juice or it will be a waste of your time. Directories like ezinearticles.com and goarticles.com are a good place to start. A page rank of at least 4 or 5 should be a requirement for the articles.

Next, do your research on your keywords. What keywords do you want to be ranked for? You can use Google Adwords tools and other keyword tools to find the best keywords for your site. Optimize your articles for those keywords but don’t have them used more than 2% of the time, or most directories will reject them.

Also, be sure that your article resource box is filled out properly as this is the way that you get backlinks and have people click through to your money site. If you are not a very good writer or it takes you over an hour to write an article, you may want to consider outsourcing your writing to speed up the process and to make your articles sound professional.

Since you are new to online marketing and want to learn more about article marketing, I suggest that you check out www.mattbacak.com for some great information on marketing. He is a skilled veteran in this field and he has some great tips and tricks that he is willing to share to anyone who asks.

Lisa asks…

Why does everyone have such a NEGATIVE attitude towards internet marketing?

When I talk to people about trying out internet marketing, talk to my dad about HOW MUCH BETTER it would be than FLIPPING BURGERS, people think I’m deceived, that I will fall for a scam.

Yet, most affiliate networks are not scams and they do pay. Yes there’s people making money online.

And guess what the general public’s attitude towards THEM is? Internet marketers are “scammers too lazy to get a real job”.

Why?

Jere answers:

Reasons;

Many are pyramids which offer no product, or an overpriced product.

Spam

People hounding others to join them.

Companies closing up…..so the loyal marketer who built a business is out of luck.
