Jere answers:

Well if you haven’t looked into it yet, I would call your local social services office. They are there to help and it will only be temporary until you can get back on your feet. If you really want or need to work from home I would start by babysitting. Also check with the unemployment office. They may have jobs available that you can work from home. Also put an ad in the paper stating your qualifications and willingness to work from home. You could also clean houses or businesses after hours and take your kids with you. Difficult but I did it while going back to college with 2 young daughters. Good luck

Helen asks…

Okay Am I doing this right?

I wanted to start to sell on Ebay, I have done it before but never as a Real Biz. I have Opened up my Ebay Store, Regestered it with Secertary of State, and picked up a H&R Block Biz. package I write all my buying/Selling ect. I am going start up a account at the bank when my biz card comes in the mail. Do I need to print out anything Monthly from Ebay? or do I need written reciepts if I buy in cash from someone selling something? Please give me any information you can…Thanks

Oh and how far can I go back prior to the day I regestered my biz to right things off?

Jere answers:

Yes, sounds good to me

Richard asks…

Are there any real differences between a .com and .biz site?

Aside from the fact that people will usually think .com first? Any practical or financial differences?

Jere answers:

A practical difference is that it’s likely that almost any domain name you might propose has already been used in the .com generic top-level domain (gTLD) but may be available in .biz or some other gTLD, such as .org, .tv, .edu, .net, etc. So if you can’t establish a domain in the .com gTLD, you’ll have to look elsewhere.

Daniel asks…

What is the Buffetology ?

Hi, yes, I know you have to evaluate real biz worth and then estimate the share value and see if it is undervalued then buy it and wait for the people to realize it is worth it then buy, then it rises then you sell, or something like that, but what I am looking for here is a website that would actually slowly explain me step by step and how to calculate it so ? I am sure you can find it on the web, so no 39.95 books or CDs or DVDs or anything like that, I don’t want to make new Kiyosaki’s out there by buying their stuff, just a website please thank you

James asks…

Will lenders verify taxes I provide as proof of income – that it was filed already?

The problem is, I want to show as much income as I am able, minus the larger write-offs I do each year so I don’t have to pay soo much taxes.

So I want an accountant to do my taxes using my real biz income but include only my smaller and essential write-offs and then provide me a copy without filing it yet. Then I would submit this copy to the lending institution. And a month or soo later, I would add in all my main write-offs and file it.
Note that the gross income would remain un-changed, so for general purposes of income and ability to pay the loan, I am being honest.

My question is, does the Lending institution have a way to, and will they, verify that I actually filed the returns that I provided to them?

Jere answers:

Most lenders will order what is called a 4506T. This is a report from the IRS to show your last two years tax filings. If you are trying to do your 2009 taxes and submit those forms, they will probably not accept them until around March, and that will also depend on whether or not the IRS is in the position to verify returns that have been submitted. Bottom line, no you cannot do that. What you are trying to do is also called Fraud, which can land you in jail.
