But DO NOT make the letter all one font with huge blocks of copy. Break up the copy with bigger, bold subheads, use images of people using your product along with “cutlines” to describe what’s in the images (real images are preferred, stock are acceptable), show the product itself, include a short letter in a sidebar from the products’ creator/manager about what it will provide, how it was created, why it was created, etc.

It doesn’t matter that it was a family business. You have 25 years of experience, period. There’s no specific kind of company that will or won’t hire you, though another family business might value the fact that you have the family biz experience.

Times are tough, so if you don’t find a job easily, it may be that rather than your qualifications. But look for jobs where your experience would be a fit, an asset. Maybe focus on companies that were your suppliers, your customers, your competitors, or are in the same industry or a related one.

Actually I lean towards T-mobile. I have had both phones and T-mobile also has plans just like that. I’ve never once had a dropped call and the customer service through T-mobile is better then Verizon. We’ve had services through all 4 of the major cellular phone providers and t-mobile treats their customers better.
The Verizon corporation needs to better train their employees and teach them a few different things. They have a lot to learn about training their sales representatives and customer service people. Or they need to keep closer tabs on things their representatives are saying and doing. From what I’ve seen on people’s bills, a lot of over charges go on. Impropper billing. Verizon was sued for this.
On the other hand the cell phone service it’self is good provided you know exactly how to order and not let the sales rep twist words around and you end up adding a feature that is not necessary or even used. In most areas they have good reception, another thing that’s vital to check on. Not the sales rep, he will tell you yes, when indeed for that area Verizon doesn’t have the best reception.
Their web site needs to be cleaned up a bit. A lot of people have hard times paying their bills online. Things don’t get credited in a sufficient amount of time etc. Extra charges made that were bogus.
Many other things why consumers are getting very upset with Verizon. Don’t get me wrong, the cofounders of verizon had a good vision, however, they’re starting to fail in the customer appriciation department. They need to focus on the customers they have now, treat them right, not just treat them good until their locked into a contract. There are a few verizon representatives though that are actually good and do a good job. But for the most part, most of them don’t care. It’s just a 9 to 5 job to them and whatever is going on at home, comes to the office per say.
So from asking numerous people on this queston, these are the answers I got. Sorry, they need work. The company does have a lot of potential. Just need to smooth out some of the rough edges that were created.
Oh yeah and all the phone companies now have the same unlimited plan. Some even include the web and texting.

Pros:
Lets face it. Many wrestling promoters have about as much on screen presence and mic skills of a slice of stale bread. Not the case with Vince. From a young guy working as an announcer to present day Vince honed his mic skills. Vince has proven himself to be better at playing the heel and drawing heat than many of the wrestlers he employees. I’ll go so far as to venture that SCSA era wouldn’t have been as successful as it was if Austin didn’t have the perfect heel to play against – and that heel was often Vince. For what its worth, I have seen worse ring work that the work Vince did. Oh he was no Kurt Angle in there – but considering he’s not a “in ring talent” he did good.

Another pro. Most people know that there have been a ton of drug related deaths in wrestling. Most don’t know how may guys Vince has paid to put through rehab. It doesn’t matter if they said bad things about Vince. It doesn’t matter if they left Vince for another company. It doesn’t matter if Vince let them go. All they have to do is pick up the phone and say, “Vince – I want help.” He’s paid for Scott Hall to go thru rehab numerous times. He was trying to get Test to go to rehab when test passed away. Ron Simmons is a one of many guys that is now clean due to Vince shelling out the $ to put him though rehab. It isn’t limited to just rehab. Barry Windham recently suffered a horrible stroke. It was touch-and-go as to if he would live, let alone ever walk again. The bills were mounting quickly – but now he is getting the best care available. Guess who is picking up the tab.

One more pro – Vince values loyalty. He will sometimes “take care of” guys that have been loyal. There is a reason why guys like Capt. Lou or Fred Blassie were around years after their wrestling days are over. There is a reason other than her ability to draw heat why Vicki G has a job as a manager and a reason why many former wrestlers still work for Vince as road agents or in other roles.

A con – and this might just be another theme of some you listed. Vince can hate to admit when he was wrong. Sometimes he’ll keep an angle or something going in the face of failure just because he still thinks its a good idea.

I would recommend focusing simply on the increase of sales volume. For example, if a companies Internet sale were growing at 10% a year and you were involved in their Internet marketing efforts and it increased 20% then you could claim to have double their internet sales. If instead you are working with particular product lines or particular customers then you will be able to again track increases in sales volume for those products or customers.

Two jobs a month and $2000 is a LOT. The average working model in the US only makes $15,000 a year and gets booked on 5 jobs in a full year, so you are way above average. Even if you were with a top NY agency, you might only get 1-2 jobs a month. Only the few supermodels work more than that. I worked for a top NY agency and only about 5-10 girls on our books made enough money modeling to support themselves. The others all either had night jobs or rich parents/boyfriends who supported them. So you are very lucky if you are getting 2 jobs and $2000 a month as a New Face.

BUT, as a whole, each answer I’ve seen posted here is incomplete because they really don’t have enough information from you to give a direct strong answer. Knowing what kind of business you do is a key element in getting the right advice.

Here are the best steps I can suggest as a small business web builder based on what information is given in your question.

1. Although this first step may seem as an odd step, it’s of vital importance. FIRST and foremost, identify the niche your business operates in and do a little research as to what people are searching for the internet who use your services. Try to then find a domain name that you purchase that has the keywords that Google users search. This will help immensely with your site being found in Google and help your business in general.

2. Find a good host provider that has an easy WordPress installation. I personally like Bluehost as a web host, but there are many good ones out there.Wordpress is a free blogging software tool and the #1 choice among top internet marketers for too many reasons to list here. Just know that it is fairly easy to learn, very Google friendly, and makes your website easily accessible to edit from any computer hooked to the internet. Another way to put this is: If a biz owner knows he’s going down the tubes, but is trying his best to keep it open, he really doesn’t have much option but to keep it open as long as possible.

I presume you started by thinking about your idea offline. An “online” idea is usually the same as any business idea in principle so I am guessing that you did the usual stuff like having an idea, a budget plan and thinking of your USP and so on. If not then do that first. In my experience, this is all about focus and understanding the risks that you are going to take. It is good to dream but you also need to plan for the reality.

If your idea is technology based then one of the things I would recommend is getting good technology advice. I wouldn’t think of just getting some “techie” that you know. You need a genuinely insightful technological mind who can understand the world of business on your team. Why? Because the likelihood is that your business idea is likely to need a reality check for feasibility, costs and time taken to develop it into a live service/ business.

Online businesses have some very specific business dynamics which are incredibly important to grasp if you are going to make a successful business out of them. Think of having advantages in terms of having tiny manufacturing costs, almost free delivery and a global market. Disadvantages are that the world can bite back and improve upon your idea or out-market into oblivion. Think of Facebook and Friends Reunited. Betamax and VHS.

Plus your idea may not work as easily in practice as it does on paper. Stuff like an assumption of “and then I’ll just charge them a fee” leads to “OK do you have a secure site? And what about a payment provider? And is it legal to store those credit card details?” Techies can do all this stuff but go look on a techie blog to see just how odd a bunch they all are.

Then, after just a few months, I started realizing that no one cares about your business name unless you are a BIG business. I stayed away from using my name at first, because it is long and easily misspelled. Most online marketers use their name, and here’s why. People buy from people, when you are a solo-preneur you want people to connect with you, get them to know, like and trust you and you’ll quickly develop an audience and a following.

I find being authentic in your business is the best way to go. Do what you feel in your heart is the right thing for you. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. You are going to have critics no matter what you do, so if your family googles you – let your light shine. You have every right to be out there marketing yourself. Critics will only arise because they don’t have the courage to do what you are doing.

I think you need to ask yourself is if the business relationship worth the aggravation of dealing with this individual.

If you decide it is, then steel yourself for more of the same and make sure -everything- is in writing.

As for inappropriate searching of your computer, either don’t leave it where he can get it, or keep your personal info off of it (offload it to dvds or external harddisks) which you can store in a safe location.

It will also help to establish an exit strategy. Work out how you will get out of this situation with the maximum financial benefit. Then if he crosses the line implement your plan.

Seems to me the biggest problem is not knowing what is going to happen next. The more you can control events, the better you are going to feel.

I do a lot of events with a national food chain and there were a few events, like Ladies Day at the Pool, where the local rec centers invites ladies from all over the community to spend the day winning prizes, getting pampered, fashion shows and playing in the pool. Get a sample lease from the landlord. In a strip mall, you’ll be exclusively leasing the space which you occupy plus a non-exclusive use of the parking lot, garbage container, landscaping, etc. The charges for maintaining these things are called “Common Area Charges” and are paid for by the tenants each months as a function of the percentage of the center which you occupy.

In addition, you’ll be paying a pro rata share of real estate taxes and assessments, if any. All the above things are paid for by the landlord and charged back to all the tenants. The landlord does not make any money off of these. Also, he has to pay for management to the tune of about five percent of gross income.

What the landlord gets from the tenant is “net rent”. What the tenant pays the landlord is “gross rent” which includes what goes to the landlord plus the common area charges. Now what’s to negotiate? Just the amount of rent per square foot you’ll pay monthly, any cost-of-living charges the landlord wishes to include, tenant improvements should the landlord be willing to put them in for you in order to customize the space to your use and free rent to both entice you to occupy the space and to allow you time to fix the space properly to start your business.

Start with a search engine and a company name.

You want to talk to a person without having to fill out some email- “contact us and we will contact you,” kinda form.

You want to find an address too- not a PO Box, but a physical address. Usually I would Google Earth the address and look at the company’s front door- if they have a concrete sign out front they are planning to be around. If they have a paper sign taped to the door then…. Well that doesn’t look good.

Are they North American bound, or in another country? Not that the US or Canada has the best enforcement of these things, but some countries have no enforcement. And if something goes wrong fighting a company internationally is impossible while US bound companies can be sued.

Contact the city and get licensing information.

Do they have a Wiki page (just thought of this one)?

What about the BBB? Consumer Affairs? Business magazines like Inc are a great source.

The first nine out of every ten you should figure them as scams in the first ten minutes of research, while that one will take a little longer. Generally I did a few minutes of looking, crossed them off the list and moved on, if they did not get crossed off in ten minutes then come back to them.

Its my experience that about 99% are scams, so take care of your personal security first (SSN and computer).

When you decide say no the first time you talk to a salesmen and see what they do- if you get no call back then that is a good sign, if you get hounding calls every day you are talking to a company that does not care about you.

Believe me, even if you do get a call back, don’t do it. That place rips you off like no other; i used to work there and it was such bs that i quit/got let go. The pay is off of all commission, you have to setup appointments with people to present and try to sell cutco knives to, you do get $15 for every person you present to plus a % of the amount if you sell anything to them, but it’s so hard to find a lot of people to do this for besides family and friends, and at the outrageous prices for the cutco knives many people won’t even consider buying anything and then you will be asked to turn in your knives and not work there anymore becuae your not making any sales.

Personally, I would not negotiate salary via e-mail. I would maybe just say in the e-mail that the salary offered is well below market average and that you would like to have a conversation to discuss this.

It depends on how complicate you want it to be. If you just want a little picture or some lettering, then you can do it on most printing website. And how many are you printing?

You can print business card by yourself using MS Word. Avery (the paper company) sells the pre-cut business card, and you use the template to print off your own printer.

When you get fancy, you can use photoshop or whatever software to make PDF file, and you can use it to print. Make sure you have high enough resolutions.

So what we use to get paid for a standard 1004 around $400-$500 per report, we now get $200-300 per report. Then you have your software fees around 100 per month, E&O insurance around $700 per year, car insurance, fuel, computer and office supplies, the list go on and on. Also lender will not let a trainee inspect any property or sign any report. It is really hard to find a mentor to teach you so you can get your license. If you don’t get certified and only get licensed the you can’t even get on the FHA roster and most AMC’s want certified appraisers and some states do not even have licensed. You must have three years of math classes, which qualify for the CSU admission requirements, with grades that are acceptable to CSUs or you will not meet the minimum math requirement for admission and admission will be denied if the minimum math requirement is not met. You appear to need to make up the geometry classes. Make sure that taking them on line will count for high school graduation and CSU admission. They should be taken at a regionally accredited school, which includes all public high schools and community colleges in California. They should not be taken at a school that has only national accreditation, which actually is a lower level than regional accreditation.

You do not need any IB classes for a CSU and your efforts should be devoted to raising your GPA, not to taking IB classes. A student should never take an IB or honors class unless the student strongly expects to be able to earn an A in it. It is much better to receive an A in a regular class than a B in an AP or honors class, as the B indicates that the class was too difficult for the student.

If you are using an auto-responder like aweber or constant contact, you can log into your account and see the open rates for html sent emails. (does not work for text messages). That gives you some information, but the better strategy is to create more than one version of each email you send and test them against each other to see which one gets more opens.

The software I use lets you do a complete search and save plus use the data completely free, so worries about wasting money on duff software.

If you are looking for thousands of email addresses then you can import a merge list which will increase the number of searches done.

Nonetheless, you can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) http://www.cfda.gov and Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov – these are two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grants. Browse through the listings and see if you can find any grant that would support a for-profit venture.

In short, you can’t actually stop this error from coming up as there is an error with IE that needs to be resolved. This error message in Vista is basically the same as the annoying ‘….is not responding’ error message in XP.

I just recently got involved with the best one I have ever seen! A fortune 250 company bought out a network marketing company for 190 million! It’s structure is a uni-level structure. It doesn’t sell a product because it is the line of energy/electricity/power in other words utility bills we already pay for. People pay there utility bill before they even pay their mortgage/rent. It is a NECESSITY.

It takes part in the deregulation of energy so that the monopoly utility companies can have competition. There are five active states right now: NY, NJ, PA, CT, and IL with TX coming soon. Nearly all states are to be deregulated by 2015. The company launched in January of this year. Warren Buffet invested nearly 1 billion into it in December 2011.

In order to rank advance you need to help your team members advance, so there is no stepping on people to get to the top. You can actually even surpass your own up-line if you are growing faster and helping your team. The second to top position only requires that you have 6 people you personally enrolled and 20 of your own customers for the most part. So it is quick to work your way up if you help your team.

You can also double the amount you put in the first week so you start with income plus residual as opposed to starting with debt.

Your doing the right thing – just keep at it and you will see results soon – I would advise you to concentrate on one method but this isnt the way to go as you will need a variety of sources for your backlink building strategy.
What I mean by this is that its important to use all the methods you mentioned and some more – if i was doing my seo work then for the offsite work I would be doing the following

article marketing
blog commenting
forum postings
rss feed sumissions
directory submissions
profile backlinking
web 2.0 account creations-such as hubpages -squidoo lenses
blog creations
Bookmarking
software submissions

just to name a few – please stay away from link farms and devalued directories – Also its not a good idea to do reciprocal linking.

When you create your backlinks use your keywords as the anchor text. Also you will need to make sure you have optimised your pages properly – so pay attention and use your keywords in your

title
meta description
meta keywords
heading tags
body text

Also make sure you have a sitemap and use latent symentic indexing. Its also advisable to make sure your internal linking structure is good

Just google networking marketing and start joining. Most will fall under internet marketing and they won’t let you post your site exept for a Signature box and that only after so many post.

You will get kick of many before you get the rhythm of how to do this.

If you’re submitting unique and relevant articles to article directories you’ll be just fine. I’d also suggest posting your orginal article to your site or blog first, then submit it to the article directories a few days later.

However, if you’re using article directories to push out huge amounts of content, then you may be in jeopordy of being penalized. Bottom line is anything you do to try and game search results will eventually be penalized.

Your best bet is to start a blog page so you can drive traffic to it. Always think traffic.

Once you start your blog post, write a post every day so you can start getting attention. Make sure your keywords are relevant to your content. This will help you in getting you to the top of the search engines. Also make sure you ping your blog every time you post.

You will also want to think about social bookmarks so you can get your posts on other social networking sites.

I have tutorials at no cost for the first three in the series. These are for beginners and will pretty much get you positioned to understand how to use the power of word press and have it act as your platform for a site.

Once you start getting your target market to your blog site, you will want to be sure to have an opt-in box so you can have your visitors sign up for a news letter or free guide. This will now give you a way to stay in contact with them through emails. Please do not spam your list once they sign up. That will not be a good thing.

You will now have two ways to let your prospects know about your great forum! You can let them on your blog post and you can remind them through emails.

There seems to be a lot of hysteria associated with lipid-lowering medications commonly referred to as ‘statins’ of which Lipitor or atorvastatin is one. The main complication associated with these medications is a degenerative muscle condition called rhabdomyolysis – though actual cases of this is extremely rare. The main reason people discontinue cholesterol medications is due to general muscle aches – despite no objective lab studies to indicate a problem. It is known that these cholesterol medications can affect the mitochodria (powerhouses of the cell) in some people. It is surmised that this effect is the source of muscle aches – though muscle aches are a common general complaint. Additionally there may be interactions with other medications at the level of the liver enzyme pathways.

So why do people are people prescribed these medications if there are risks? The answer is the overall significant reduction in mortality – especially noted in people who at risk for coronary artery disease, heart valvular disease, stroke, and peripheral vascular disease. The risk reduction of dying from these diseases far outweighs the increase risk of taking the medications. I have attached a few abstracts of medical journals below that are pertinent to your question and my answer.

There were 871 reports of statin-associated rhabdomyolysis in the 29-month time frame examined, representing 601 cases. The following number of cases were associated with each of the individual statins: simvastatin, 215 (35.8%); cerivastatin, 192 (31.9%); atorvastatin, 73 (12.2%); pravastatin, 71 (11.8%); lovastatin, 40 (6.7%); and fluvastatin, 10 (1.7%). Drugs that may have interacted with the statins were present in the following number of cases: mibefradil (n = 99), fibrates (n = 80), cyclosporine (n = 51), macrolide antibiotics (n = 42), warfarin (n = 33), digoxin (n = 26), and azole antifungals (n = 12). The reports of 62.1% of cases were classified as expedited. Statins were designated as the primary suspect in 72.0% of the cases. Death was listed as the outcome in 38 cases. The majority of reports (n = 556) were from health professionals.

Lowering of LDL-cholesterol by 25 to 30% with statins resulted in a highly significant reduction of coronary event rates in 2 large primary prevention trials. In the West of Scotland Primary Prevention Study (WOSCOPS) hypercholesterolemic asymptomatic men were treated with either 40 mg of pravastatin or placebo, in the Airforce/Texas Coronary Atherosclerosis Prevention Study (AFCAPS/TexCAPS) 6605 men and women with average levels of LDL-cholesterol and low levels of HDL-cholesterol were treated with either 20 to 40 mg of lovastatin or placebo. Moreover, in the WOSCOP study a marked reduction of total mortality was observed which approached the level of statistical significance. Several groups of experts have recently developed guidelines for the use of statins in prevention of atherosclerotic vascular disease. There are major differences in the goals for lowering of LDL-cholesterol and in the levels at which initiation of lipid lowering by drugs is advocated. In most of these recommendations graded target levels for LDL-cholesterol are suggested which are guided by the level of global risk. According to the recommendations of the American National Cholesterol Education Program (NCEP) LDL-cholesterol should be lowered below 130 mg/dl in asymptomatic individuals at high absolute risk and below 160 in individuals with a moderate increase in risk. The Joint Task Force of European and other Societies on Coronary Prevention recently developed guidelines, which suggest that in primary prevention lipid lowering by drugs should be restricted to individuals whose 10 year CHD risk exceeds 20% or will exceed 20% if projected to age 60. In these individuals LDL-cholesterol levels should be lowered to less than 115 mg/dl. The International Task Force for Prevention of Coronary heart disease recently published recommendations which suggest, that LDL-cholesterol should be reduced below 100 mg/dl in asymptomatic individuals at very high coronary risk, while it should be lowered below 135 mg/dl in individuals at moderately increased risk and below 160 mg/dl in subjects with a small increase in risk. In conclusion, results of 2 landmark trials in primary prevention of coronary heart disease demonstrated that lowering of LDL-cholesterol by statins is one of the most effective strategies to reduce coronary risk. It should be applied most aggressively in subjects at the highest overall risk. Nevertheless, non-pharmacologic measures are still considered as the preferred strategy for the reduction of coronary risk in the setting of primary prevention.

Good for you for signing up for classes. A lot of people on Yahoo! Answers just want to know a magic way to ::pop:: suddenly become famous (not everyone, but still…). You recognize that it takes time and work (and you didn’t even ask how to become famous. Yeah!). The Cinderella stories are the popular ones because everyone wants it, but the majority of singers, performers, etc. Work long and hard before they have a secure job. And even then, show biz is not the most stable work. Be prepared.

Make the most out of the classes you signed up for. LISTEN to the teachers and your classmates. Constructive criticism is something that everybody asks for, but no one really wants to accept. At least that’s been my experience. Your teachers and peers aren’t out to tell you how horrible you are, they want to help you get better at what you love to do. Accept their thoughts for what they are worth and then decide what works best for you. Remember these are suggestions. In the end it’s your job to decide what you think is best.

Keep practicing. Get more lessons. Sing whenever you can. Join choirs, hire out for weddings (or even offer to sing for free), call up radio stations and ask if/when they will be recording those little jingles and send them your resume. You’ve got to get your name out into the community and start looking for jobs. Ask other area singers how they find jobs. I’m a theatre person and in my area there’s an emailing list you can join that sends out all auditions, tech jobs, etc. Networking is a wonderful thing. Keep track of the names and numbers of everyone you meet. You never know when they might be able to help you.

Audition, audition, audition. That’s all I can say. I don’t know much about the agent stuff, but I know how best to get the education and experience needed to then take the next step.

If it is free, the only way that you can make money from it is through ads. You should also consider, running google ads for other types of ads that you are paid when someone clicks the ad. I think it is a poor business model to offer this as an entirely free service. As a business owner you must make money somehow and unless you have advertisers that are already lined up to pay for ads, you will be hemorraging money. Problem is that advertisers only want to advertise where there is already proven traffic of their target audience.

What is your first sense when you meet some program that promise you to give money just for joining with no other efforts? “It is too good to be true” – is that? In prevalence it IS too good to be true.
The Internet is overload with all kinds of on-line business stuff. There are many usable programs either. But as far as I know by experience there aren’t way to earn money without investing your efforts. Firstly you must learn a lot to succeed in that field. Secondly you must implement what you learn. Without these main things every program that you join will seem scam.
