I am completing a marketing plan and must include direct mail lists to new companies. It seems there are only lists for sale, however I am wondering if there are free lists out there. Does anyone know of any good sites to find them?

Backup of computer hard drive: how do you do it via FTP?

While trying to get files from one laptop onto another, I am now having trouble with the OTHER laptop (mini-crashes)….which brings to mind how much, both for personal and business reasons, I want to be able to DAILY backup my hard drive. I spent a lot of money for external hard drive, but copying it takes forever!!! And I question if a RAID drive is the way to go, because I THINK both drives could simultaneously crash or get virus-infected. Somewhere here online someone mentioned backing up via FTP….how does this work? how complicated? how expensive? how time-consuming?
PS Can’t fit all my docs/photos onto a CD and don’t have DVD burner; not sure if all would fit anyway!

Although I worked on and off in the Administrative field for 10 years, I still wanted to earn a degree as a backup. I have been taking online classes since January and I’ve been making straight A’s. Ok…I know ME….and I was never a straight A student, in highschool or on my past college campus. So my question is, do you find this college to be challenging? How can I copy my hard drive to a new computer and not have to re-load my software?

I have a small business and my laptop is getting old. The POS software that I use for all of my accounting and database management doesn’t exist anymore. The company went out of business so there is no hope of getting another copy of my software. I back up the data everyday, but the data is useless without the software. How can I transfer the program to another computer hard drive and still have it work? I have tried this several times using the backup function of the program, but when I try to open the program on the new computer there are files missing so it wont run.
If there is a way to copy my HD so that my program will work on another computer PLEASE help me!
I do not have any disks to re-load the program because it was an online downloadable program so there never were any disks.
